THE ESTATE

La Providence is a historic Provençal hamlet made up of individual stone buildings, surrounded by gardens, terraces and shared outdoor spaces where guests can gather throughout the day. Over the years, we have shaped the estate with a French Garden, lavender plantings, Mediterranean gardens and landscaped terraces, while preserving the character of the original buildings and their natural setting in the Luberon.
The Grande Esplanade
The highest point of the estate, with Provençal trees and panoramic views across the surrounding Luberon landscape.
The Fountain Terrace
An intimate terrace centred around a traditional Provençal stone fountain, overlooking the countryside and lavender fields.
The French Garden
A romantic formal garden of gravel paths, clipped hedges, roses, lavender, olive trees and Mediterranean planting.
The Covered Stone Terrace
A sheltered stone terrace, framed by stone columns, timber beams and Mediterranean greenery.
The Stone Reception Room
A characterful indoor space with historic stone walls, exposed beams, terracotta floors and direct access to the Covered Stone Terrace.
The Heated Panoramic Pool
A peaceful place to swim and relax, surrounded by the gardens and Provençal landscape, with panoramic views across the Luberon.
The Pétanque Court
A quintessentially Provençal corner of the estate for relaxed games beneath the Mediterranean sky.
The Wall Fountain Court
Set at the entrance to the hamlet, this charming courtyard is centred around a traditional stone fountain built against the wall of one of the historic houses, creating an authentic Provençal welcome.
The Truffle Forest
A peaceful wooded area of the estate planted with truffle oaks, reflecting one of Provence’s most treasured culinary traditions.
Parking
Convenient on-site parking is available within the estate, allowing guests to arrive easily while keeping the main guest areas peaceful and car-free.

A HISTORIC PROVENCAL HAMLET NEAR APT
The character of old Provence, entirely your own
With more than 150 years of history, La Providence has the soul of a traditional Provençal hamlet rather than the formality of a hotel.
Historic stone buildings sit among terraces and gardens, surrounded by lavender fields, vineyards and panoramic views of the Luberon. A French garden planted with Provençal herbs, a truffle grove, the heated pool, pétanque court, spacious stone terrace and adjoining indoor hall provide places to gather throughout the day and in every kind of weather.
Every corner has its own atmosphere. Guests can be part of the group when they wish—and retreat to the peace of their own house, apartment or suite whenever they choose.
EXPLORE APT, RUSTREL AND THE LUBERON
Provence begins just beyond the gate
La Providence lies between Apt and Rustrel, in the extraordinary landscape of the Luberon Regional Park, only 3 km from the center of Apt and its celebrated Saturday market.
From here, explore the hilltop villages of Bonnieux, Lacoste, Gordes and Roussillon; meet local producers; visit vineyards; walk through the ochre landscapes of the Colorado Provençal; or follow the quieter roads through the Luberon countryside.
Spend the morning exploring. Return for lunch together. Swim in the afternoon. Open a bottle of local wine at sunset.
This is Provence at your own pace.

YOUR OWN LITTLE VILLAGE IN PROVENCE
Together in a village of your own.
La Providence is made for groups who want to share an experience without having to share every moment.
Couples can have the intimacy of their own suite. Families can settle into a private house. Friends can enjoy independent apartments before meeting by the pool, around the table or on one of the estate’s terraces.
It feels less like checking into accommodation and more like settling into a village of your own.
